Meet the Flower Mound Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re not a franchise, and you won’t get a rotating cast of subcontractors when you call us. Otto’s Garage Door has been owner-operated in Flower Mound since 2004, and the people who show up at your door are the same people who live in the county, shop in the county, and see you at the hardware store on Saturday. Otto Reinhardt built this crew one hire at a time, looking for people who treat a 200-pound door on two springs with the respect it deserves. Here’s who you’ll see when the van pulls up.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt – Owner, Lead Technician

Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 and still answers the phone, quotes the job, and shows up with the truck. That’s not a company slogan. It’s how the business runs. He’s trained across LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, and he can usually tell you what’s wrong with a door over the phone before he’s even finished his coffee. Otto counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles, and he’ll tell you exactly what’s left on yours. He’s known around Flower Mound for two things: quoting a price on the call and holding it at the door, and pointing out when a cheaper fix will do the job just as well as the expensive one. Otto Reinhardt, Owner. The name on the van is the name on the invoice and the name on the license.

Marcus D. – Senior Installer

Marcus has been installing residential garage doors in Denton County for 17 years, the last nine of them with Otto. He’s the one who handles the heavy custom work: oversized doors, wood carriage-style installations, and retrofits where the existing framing looks like it was put together mostly by optimism. Marcus holds manufacturer certifications for Clopay and Amarr installations, which matters if you’re ever dealing with a warranty claim. On his days off, he rebuilds old motorcycles and has been known to compare garage track alignment to chain alignment more often than anyone asked him to.

Jenny S. – Service Coordinator

Jenny is the voice you’ll hear when you call at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday or 9 p.m. when a spring lets go and your vehicle is sealed inside. She’s been with Otto’s Garage Door for six years and keeps the whole schedule running without ever making a caller feel like a ticket number. Jenny handles booking, parts ordering, and the 90-Day Done Right Promise paperwork on every job. She grew up in Lewisville and knows the back roads well enough to tell you exactly why the technician’s ETA changed when 2499 got backed up. If you call with a question and Jenny says she’ll find out, she will, and she’ll call you back.

Tommy R. – Apprentice Technician

Tommy is the newest member of the crew, two years into his apprenticeship with Otto and Marcus. He’s already certified on LiftMaster and Chamberlain door opener systems and rides along on most repair calls, learning door spring work the way it should be taught: slowly, carefully, and never alone. A door is 200 pounds riding on two springs, and we don’t let anyone touch that until they’ve proven they respect it. Tommy’s the one who double-checks torque specs and torque conversations. He also makes a very precise pot of coffee at the shop, which is not in the job description but is deeply appreciated.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works the same way, whether it’s Otto on a midnight emergency call or Tommy on a morning tune-up. The price is quoted before the work starts and it doesn’t change when the technician sees the door in person. The work is done right or we come back and make it right, in writing, for 90 days. The person on the phone knows what the person in the van knows, because they talk every morning before the first truck rolls. No national dispatch center, no runaround, no “someone will reach out.” You call Otto’s Garage Door at (817) 631-5388 and you get a person in Flower Mound who knows the difference between a spring with life left in it and one that’s about to quit. That’s the standard, and it’s been the same since 2004.
